In fact, my 2500K with an XFX 7890 BE GPU performed much better in New Vegas with mods than my 980Ti and 1080Ti cards. Fix: There are several ways to fix this, but it will all have to do with lowering shadow settings to match what your GPU can do. Having said that, there are a small percentage of machine setups out there (hardware lottery?) that don't have these issues and it doesn't usually have to do with having stronger rigs or anything like that. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever see vanilla New Vegas/FO3 get a 64-bit release. The problem places were no longer problems. Almost all of these issues disappeared when Skyrim Special Edition, a 64-bit version, was released. Even with my 1080Ti and 4790K (still a great CPU) go from 60FPS to 25-30 in that area. Dead Money is terrible for me in the areas around the fountain. Beyond Skyrim Bruma suffered from this in the Bruma city, primarily due to the fact the Beyond Skyrim Bruma development team opted to make the city open, i.e. ![]() The 32-bit version of the engine is just terrible when trying to render resources, particularly lights, a multitude of NPCs and shadows. The issue is even present in Skyrim Legendary Edition (Oldrim) and it doesn't always have anything to do with having a low-end rig or high-res textures. Going on the research I've done, the problem cannot be fixed. ![]()
